Post 2: The best concert

 

To begin with, during my life, I've not been to too many concerts of popular music, I used to go to the Santiago municipal theater or to the Ceac theater close to Baquedano subway station, additionally, on the 12th September of 2018 I went to Herbie Hanckock concert in the Caupolican theater. Herbie Hancock is one of the most important jazz musicians in the world right now and that concert was the last time Herbie was in Chile. Personally, Jazz music is one of my favorite genders of music, so this concert was awesome.

The theater got full and the concert was astounding, I enjoyed it very much, it was delightful. Herbie is a true jazz genius, and the concert was evidence of that. At that time my dad and his friend came with me. I can remember the long queue to get inside of the theater, this concert was clearly anticipated for many people. The band that played with Hancock was made up by 4 musicians plus Herbie, 5 in total, but there wasn't any guitarist! That surprised me because it is not common that Herbie's band doesn't have a guitarist. When the concert ended, Hancock explained that he wanted to play without a guitarist because he desired to make something different for this concert, really really amazing. If Herbie came again to Chile, I would definitely go to see him again without thinking twice about it.
