Post 4: A person I would like to meet

During my life I have always listened to classical music, so the people that I have admired the most lived in the past and died many years prior my birth, therefore I couldn't meet those people although I wanted to, because the majority of classical music composers lived many years ago. Nevertheless, classical music is a very popular gender of music and it has continuously been interpreted, so a lot of famous musicians are recognized around the world as genius of his own instrument and at least one of them should be interesting to me, that I would have like to meet  them.

Among those famous musicians that I would like to meet is Daniil Trifonov. I have heard his name before but I recently discovered his interpretations. I was looking for Trascendetal etudes interpretations and in the Trifonov recording he showed up. His version of the Trascendetal etudes quickly became my favorite because of the great technique, brilliant musicality and the wonderful domain of the piano, I was amazed. After that, I started to listen to every interpretation of any piece of his that was available on internet, to watch interviews or anything related to Daniil. During that research I read that Trifonov participated in a lot of contests, such as the International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw or the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition, being finalist and awarded in all of them, even he got the first place in the International Tchaikovski Competition. Finally, for all of that I became a fan of  Trifonov and actually he is one of my favorite pianists, definitely a person I would like to meet.

Daniil was born in the Soviet Union when it still existed, in March, 1991. I would like to meet Daniil Trifonov to have an extensive conversation about piano techniques, musicality and expression, topics that it is evident that he masters, but I know that is impossible. It would be incredible to share a moment with Danil but only listening him live would be enough for me, a true genius that is still alive.
